The Art of Beat Making “Believe” - Vinroc
January 28, 2009 Posted by Tony Buddha
If you haven’t seen this video, check it out. It was added in Vinroc’s mix post, but i felt it needed a post on its own. One of my favorites. You can’t help it but admire Vinroc’s intricate style of beat making. The video was definitely well executed.

Kanye West x Louis Vuitton
January 27, 2009 Posted by Tony Buddha

A closer look at the collaboration of Kanye West and Louis Vuitton sneaker. These are heard to be dropping in June.
“PARIS — Marc Jacobs and the Louis Vuitton men’s studio director Paul Helbers have some design competition this season. Kanye West, who was sitting front row at the Vuitton show, has designed a line of five LV sneakers. Only one design, above, was featured in the show — a monochromatic midtop with no frills, save for a quilted flap in the back, all the easier to tuck pants into. “The inspiration came from a jacket with a huge collar in the movie ‘Dune,’ ” West says. “Most sneakers focus on the tongue, so I wanted to do something different.” West knows whereof he speaks: he says he has no idea how many shoes he owns, but he does know that he routinely needs to send shipments off to storage. The LV-meets-Kanye kicks will be available at Louis Vuitton stores in June.”

DJ Vinroc - BEAT FREAKS (Vinstrumentals) Album
January 20, 2009 Posted by DnZ

Beat Freaks is a hodge podge of production work from the mind of DJ Vinroc. A collection of a simplistic collage of samples reinterpreted through a drum machine, Vinroc’s influences and experience can be easily seen as that of a true fan of Hip Hop. A compilation of pre released, unheard, and never released tracks, Beat Freaks is intended for the true beat aficionado who can appreciate the grit, simplicity, and beauty of Hip hop music. Available at itunes.

Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li Trailer
January 19, 2009 Posted by DnZ
Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun-Li
Out Feb. 27th

The film will simultaneously launch the same month with Capcom’s Street Fighter 4 (Playstation 3, Xbox 360).
The oh so fine Kristine Kreuk (Smallville) will get to play the lead role of Chun-Li.
Michael Clarke Duncan (Green Mile/Talladega Nights/Daredevil) will be playing Balrog.
Neal McDonough (Walking Tall/Star Trek: First Contanct) will play M. Bison. BTW - Raul Julia will never be replaced as M.Bison, he’s like what Heath Ledger was to the Joker.
From the looks of the cast so far I think this will turn out better then the 1st live action SF movie. No wait I take that back…Jean Claude Van Dam as Guile? This WILL be better! For those of you that have seen it then you know what I’m talking about. If not then here is the crap that they tried to give us.
At least we won’t have to put up with bad acting…poor casting…and horrible portrayals of the actual characters that we know and love.
Now I know for one this won’t be as flashy as we might think. From the looks of the trailer it looks as they are going to take a more REALISM approach to her story (which isn’t a bad thing) to kind of bring it into the new age.
Either way, if you are a big fan of the SF series you NEED to go see this! And if your not a fan then you NEED to see this because, well, Kristine Kreuk is in it! Nuff said.
